It has to be asked: 3DS or NGP (or Totally...
It will depend entirely on two things: the feature set in the final system… and which one gets an Ace Attorney game first. I’m actually a fan of the idea of a portable “proper” (for want of a better word) console, particularly if it has some way of syncing up with the PS3 when you get home. Plus, portable Uncharted? Sign me up. That said, I am a bit worried about the...

Jesus Christ. YouTube must be the whiniest community on the entire Internet. Fair enough if you don’t like a change and want to offer feedback… but… well, see for yourself.

What is your biggest goal this year?
Survival. Seriously. That’s pretty much it. Anything else will be a happy bonus. :( Oh all right, melodrama aside: get a job, move back out, pay off infuriating debts, be happy. Remains to be seen if any of those will come to fruition. I can’t think about anything particularly ambitious at the moment as everything else is so fucked up. That needs to come first. I like questions....

Do you believe Nintendo when they say they are...
No. I hadn’t heard this, actually. But no, I don’t believe them. It’s to protect their revenue streams in the individual territories. It is also dumb. A handheld device’s very nature is that you can take it to other countries. And you would have thought they’d be happy with game sales, wherever they were, right? Wrong. Inevitably it will be Europe who get Fd in the...

Why do people have such a fondness for coffee mugs...
So they can pretend to be the life and soul of the party when they show their mug to someone and say “Look… look… it says coffee… BUT IT’S ACTUALLY GOT TEA IN IT!! HAHA!!” while inside their soul is crumbling to dust and/or shit. I like questions. Ask me one.

5 Ways Video Games Are About To Get Way More... →
Sex drives every new advance in technology onwards, it seems. People like sex. (Derp.) But it’s not always readily available. So this actually-quite-interesting-as-well-as-being-childishly-amusing article tells of some things that The Future might have in store… for gentlemen, anyway.

Do retailers in the UK do a lot of parallel...
No. I’m not sure if they’re not allowed to at all, or if it’s just part of an unwritten code. But no; finding a place that will sell import video games these days is actually pretty rare. Computer Exchange (aka CEX) used to, but I don’t think even they do any more. You can’t even trade region-free DS/PS3/whatever titles in at places like GAME at the like. If they see...

A (Faintly Disgusting) Biology Question
I remember a colleague asking me this once, and we never came up with a satisfactory conclusion. So I put this question to the scientists out there. With apologies to… well, everyone. You know when you need to, you know, “go to the toilet”, and you spend ages worrying about how much you need to go to the toilet… and then suddenly maybe 20-30 minutes later, the feeling has...

Who is your favourite non-human videogame...
Non-human? Hmmmmm. I like playing Pac-Man, but he’s not a very compelling character and his narrative thread is frankly underdeveloped (unless you watch the frankly hallucinogenic TV series). I think I’d have to go with Sly Cooper here, despite only having come to the series recently. His banter with Carmelita in particular is right up there with some of the great double-acts of...

I didn't know you play the piano! I play the piano...
Hello Raze, sweetie, darling: there’s actually a load of past recordings on my blog. Here’s a couple of examples while I don’t have my electric piano hooked up for recording purposes: http://angryjedi.wordpress.com/2010/06/03/oneaday-day-136-massive-pianist/ If you’re extra-nice and buy me flowers and a pony I’ll record some more soon. How often do you play the piano?
Not as often as I used to. Been a bit short on musical inspiration for a while what with everything that’s been going on over the past year or so. There have been a couple of occasions where people mentioned that they liked a piece of music so I tracked down the music and recorded a version of it for them… but I haven’t played regularly for a little while. I will get back to it,...

Do you like olives?
This is one of those questions that seems to have come up a ton of times. My answer is still the same: I can’t make my mind up. I certainly wouldn’t choose to have them if given the option not to have them, but I won’t pick them all off and fling them back into my waiter’s face like a monkey throwing poo at a zookeeper, either. I like questions. Ask me one.

What is your most prized possession?
Ack! No idea. I have things I carry around with me every day—iPhone, keys and whatnot. And one or two things that hold sentimental value. I’m not sure which one is my “most prized” one though… I guess it depends on how you define “prized”. As ever, I’m overthinking this. Practically speaking, being without my iPhone would be an utter disaster....

Are you excited by the announcement of Cannon...
Hmm. I’m not sure, especially without Jon Hare at the helm. Cannon Fodder was good fun, but I kind of think that’s the kind of franchise that needs to stay resolutely retro. Of course, there’s very little in the way of details yet, so there may be some pleasant surprises to come. I just hope they don’t go down the route of making it too “next-gen” gritty and...

Most proud writing achievement?
Ah! Good question. Difficult one, actually, as any time I’m in “proper” print (or, these days, on a “reputable” website) I feel pretty proud of myself. That’s good, I guess, ‘cause the day the joy goes away is the day it becomes just another slog. I think the thing that I’m most proud of overall, though, was the cover-mounted tips book for...

Tumblr!
I am here and I will understand you, dammit! Even if it takes lots of confused-sounding posts such as this one. Now, I believe it’s possible to ask a question and let people answer. Let’s try that and see if anyone wants to engage in a little friendly interaction, shall we? After some deliberation earlier, I controversially declared the Jammy Cream the King of Biscuits. What is your...
